Bonsai Wishlist

Apart from the seeds I already try to make into bonsai trees

  • Olive Tree (Olea europea) I – collected in Gümüşlük
  • Olive Tree (Olea europea) II – collected in Pergamon
  • Olive Tree (Olea europea) III – the one in the starter set
  • Dwarf Pomegranate Tree (Punica granatum nana) – starter set
  • Myrtle Tree (Myrtus communis) – starter set
  • Chestnut Tree (Castanea sativa) – collected in Kaplan Köyu
  • Caucasian/ Persian Oak (Quercus macranthera) or Downy Oak (Quercus pubescens)- collected in Troy
  • Medlar (Mespilus germanica) – collected in Kaplan Köyu

I would like to get seeds (or cutting or saplings) of the following trees:

  • Pistacio Tree (Pistacia vera)
  • Mastic (Pistacia lentiscus) – apparently, there is a tree in Fenerbahçe Park, İstanbul
  • Pomegranate Tree – collected, not bought
  • Stone Pine (Pinus pinea)
  • Lemon Tree, preferably Sorrento
  • Bergamot Tree (Citrus bergamia) – I saw some for sale at the beach of Gümüşlük, but didn’t buy any, because I thought there would be more during that stay in Turkey, but there weren’t.
  • Almond Tree (Prunus dulcis)
  • Quince (Cydonia oblonga)
  • Cork Oak (Quercus suber)
  • Avocado (Persea americana) – even though not native to the Mediterranean (but citrus isn’t either). I have already grown one, but not made it into a bonsai.

My avocado tree, about 3 1/2 years old

  • Laurel Tree (Laurus nobilis)
